How can a temporary identity embrace a feminist twenty-first-century critique of violence? The Scalability Project by New York’s A.I.R gallery focused on technologies and their implications for racialized, gendered, and class violence. We radically chose to not work with male-only designer and type foundries and selected a typeface that slows down reading and undercuts any sense of cuteness. If anything, we embraced a visual language of sorcery to make letters collide and form harsher graphic alliances.
